About

I’m a post-40 female who doesn’t buy the idea that getting older means “letting yourself go.”

I have taken graduate-level courses in exercise physiology, taught weight-training courses, and coached and trained individuals. In the 1980s I competed locally in bodybuilding.

I love weights—but I also believe in having a life. So I recommend workouts that are intelligent, focused, intense, and brief, and a  food plan based on portion control, whole foods, and plenty of protein.
